Photographies.

Photography. Small local shops are disappearing, replaced by standardized chains. With them fade fragments of collective memory, traces of personal and local stories. How do these familiar, intimate places shape our perception of a neighborhood? And what remains once they are gone?

Systematic photographs of small shopfronts bearing first names, captured with consistent framing and lighting to ensure visual coherence. In post-production, the façades were isolated from their immediate surroundings, highlighting their singularity and transforming them into silent witnesses of a world in transition. Each carries within it a local and social history, often imbued with personal memories.
